Blood, Water and Wine
Qana, as the British MP, George Galloway reminded his listeners (the show doesn’t seem to be archived but he was accused of being an Israeli Mossad agent on Sunday), is said by some to be where Jesus turned water into wine. And as the roads of this village run with the blood of so many children, it is to water rather than to Chateau Musar that analysts are turning their attention.
Many have asked how it can be that one of the world’s most powerful U.S.-taxpayer-subsidised armies on earth has not been able to defeat a guerilla army that has seemingly spent most of its money on social services in Southern Lebanon rather than rockets.
And why is Israel willing to cope with such international opprobrium in order to free two soldiers Hezbollah captured to catalyse a prisoner swap in a type of deal done many times before? Israel has even alienated some friends on Capitol Hill. It has managed to get bad publicity for its cause on U.S. networks, which normally are uniform in their bias.
Israel, it seems, wants a complete evacuation of Southern Lebanon so that international forces can guard the area around the Litani river and ensure that the water flows to Israel. Whilst Israel has been successful in stealing some of the 580 million cubic metres of water a year, the Lebanese have a dam at Qarun.

World War One: Lawrence of Arabia
“I deem him one of the greatest beings alive in our time… We shall never see his like again. His name will live in history. It will live in the annals of war… It will live in the legends of Arabia.” – Winston Churchill
Thomas Edward Lawrence or ‘Lawrence of Arabia’, known professionally as T.E. Lawrence was one of the most iconic figures of the First World War. To this day, Lawrence has become a household name conjuring images of adventure, sweeping deserts and the image of a mysterious figure that has never been fully understood. Renowned for his liaisons with the warring Arab tribes against the Ottoman Empire, Lawrence became one of the leaders of the Arab revolt which began in 1916.
Lawrence’s image with the public was due in part to the great reportage of Lowell Thomas who, during the war, photographed and filmed Lawrence on campaign in Palestine. Following the war Lowell toured the world showing and narrating his film “Allenby in Palestine” and “Lawrence in Arabia”, making both himself and Lawrence household names.

Immigrants and Converts Responsible for Muslim Terror Violence in the West
When we think of terrorist assaults, we visualize hate spitting imams or a serene Osama Bin Laden in front of us; we think of Palestine, Syria, Iran, Egypt and Saudi Arabia. However, as you will see below, this is a very wrong representation of the facts. Although the people and countries that are mentioned are pulling the strings, the real danger is coming from another side.
According to Robert S. Leiken’s “Bearers of Global Jihad? Immigration and National Security after 9/11″, Muslim immigrants have carried out 86% of all major terrorist attacks; converts to Islam executed the remaining acts of violence. The Oklahoma City bombing of 1995 is the only exception. We can conclude that in our Western countries, jihad has grown mainly by way of Muslim immigration.
Two methods have been employed for the execution of violent acts against the West: “the sleeper cell” and the “hit squad”.
Hit squads: these are foreign nationals who enter the country with a specific assignment, such as the 9/11 hijackers.
Sleeper cells: consist of unsuspicious people quietly living in immigrant communities. They work, they have kids, they have studied, are polite, they have fixed addresses, they pay the rent; in other words, they act as exemplary citizens.
The lifestyle of Muslim immigrants in Western Europe and the United States is significantly different.
